Tree Tomato



Tree tomato, also known as “tamarillo”, is an ovoid shaped fruit, with a smooth skin and a long stalk; its color is either red or orange.  It is an exotic fruit, known by its exceptional flavor and by being a source of iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and vitamins.

Technical specifications

  • Innocuous product whose organoleptic characteristics (smell, color, texture, aroma and flavor) are preserved for a two-year period of time.
  • Must be preserved at a temperature of -18C°.  Do not refreeze.
  • Scientific name: Solanum betaceum
